Fin Box is an original mixed media wall sculpture built on a cradled birch box, 8×8 inches. A salvaged vintage surfboard fin — its black surface marked with the natural marine encrustation of a life lived in the ocean — floats slightly off the back panel, mounted on a wooden dowel so it casts its own shadow and breathes within the frame.
The box itself is painted and finished with added textural elements. This piece is part of a limited edition of 6.
